CA Sales Tax is applied were applicable.  All Antiques and Vintage Items sold As-Is. Apothecary items are sold strictly as collectibles only.  Any misuse of the items or their contents is at the risk of the user.  All skin care products are for external use only. The products offered on this website and in our shop are not intended to diagnose, treat, cure, or prevent any disease. Because our products contain ingredients of a natural variety; organic and/or plant extracts as well as pure essential oils, please always read the ingredients and consult your physician before using any skincare product. We encourage you to get advice from your physician if you are pregnant or nursing before using any skin care products.

RETURN POLICY:  Merchandise purchased from Artful Ruins (with the exception of original art, re-crafted/hand-painted furniture & soaps/lotions) can be returned within 15 days from the original purchase date for in-store credit only.  Merchandise being returned must be in the same condition as purchased from Artful Ruins.   Original and/or Custom Art, Calligraphy and furniture sales are final. For safety and sanitary purposed, Soaps and Mortar & Pestle skincare products may not be returned.  If you are unhappy with your soap or lotion purchase, we will be more than happy to work with you to find a more compatible product.  Merchandise received by the purchaser as damaged will be accepted for return. Damages incurred after purchase will not be accepted for return.  The purchaser may request an evaluation of custom repair work, if repairs are deemed possible.  Fees may apply.

 

ON-LINE SHIPPING AND RETURN POLICY:

All items are shipped ground unless otherwise stated. Please see individual listings for more shipping information and price.

 

REFUNDS/EXCHANGES
If there is ever an item that you are unsure is going to work for you please ask us any questions you have about the item before purchasing it. What we charge for shipping is less than the cost for us to ship it.

Original and Custom Art, Mortar & Pestle Soaps, and hand-crafted furniture sales are final.

Returns and/or Exchanges on ETSY listed items (with the exception of Original Art, Custom Art, Mortar & Pestle skincare products, re-crafted furnishings): For accepted returns or exchanges within 15 days from the ship date, the buyer will be responsible for the shipping cost both ways for returns and exchanges. For exchanges the buyer is responsible for any additional cost/price difference of new merchandise and the shipping cost of the new merchandise. All items shipped back to us must be insured for the purchase price in case of damage in transit. The cost of the product would be applied to an exchange to the buyer only once we receive the merchandise back without damage. Some forms of payment take several days to be credit so once cleared we will make an exchange credit available to the purchaser. If damage occurs to the package and merchandise in transit back to us, you will need to make an insurance claim to receive your purchase price back from the shipper. Artful Ruins can not issue an exchange credit on merchandise received back in damaged condition. So please be sure to properly insure AND package your returns. Insurance claims can be denied by the shipping company if items are not well/safely packaged.  Please feel free to contact us about returns/exchanges.

 

Accepted returns can not be made after 15 days from ship date.
CUSTOM ORDERS:
We do not accept returns on custom orders. We take great care to make sure your custom order is exactly as discussed (within reason) before we ship it to you. We work with our clients to get the product to the desired specifications before we paint the actual product. Once approved and paid for, the item will be painted and shipped. If a custom order is damaged in shipping, we will submit a damage claim to the carrier. This process would require us providing your contact information to the carrier (including a phone number for them to reach you). The carrier may then pick up the original package with all of the packing materials and the item for inspection. Once the inspection is done and deemed “damaged in shipping” by the carrier and the fees are collected we will replace the item.

The purchaser may request an evaluation of custom repair work, if repairs are deemed possible. Fees may apply.
